EXHIBITION in 1980, skated to music by Goblin from their album Roller. The music was introduced to me by Heather Kemkaran, Canadian Senior Ladies Champion (1978 and 1980).

It’s funny how bad in some ways this early footage looks—and how good in others. I had attack. The spunk impresses me. But what presentation I had was introverted. I had a sense of musical dynamics, but the lack of precision was embarrassing. Also... that was a slow, ugly sit spin. I know I am hard on myself—on purpose! It feels good to know I have progressed through the years. Anyway, I hope you liked my cool moves. That has always been my purpose: showing off to anyone who will watch.
